With the participation of 9 men’s teams and 9 strong women’s teams, this year’s tournament promises to be very attractive. The 9 women’s teams competing in the tournament are: Ninh Binh LPB, Duc Giang Ha Noi Chemistry, Quang Ninh, Galeximco Thai Binh, Binh Phuoc Truong Information Tribe, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement, Vietin Bank, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Hanoi.
The 9 men’s teams include: Sanest Khanh Hoa, Bien Phong, Ha Tinh, Hanoi, Ninh Binh LPB, The Cong, La Vie Long An, Da Nang, Vinh Long.
he tournament is divided into 2 stages. Stage 1, the women’s team played in Binh Phuoc from March 16 to 23; the men’s group played from March 30 to April 6 in Ha Tinh. Stage 2 and final, women’s group will be played from November 9 to November 17 in Lao Cai; men’s group from November 23 to December 1 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau. Teams (men/women) will play a round of 1 point calculation to rank. The top 4 teams will enter the final round (select the champion). The fifth placed team will have the first place, while the 6th to 9th placed teams will compete in a round to select the two relegation places. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tri Truong – Secretary General of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation – said: “This year, the national championship volleyball tournament continues to be held in two different venues. The teams will play a round of 1 round in the group stage, then select the top 4 teams (first to fourth place) to compete in the Final Round; the teams ranked 5 places; the remaining 4 teams (from 6 to 9) continue to compete for the first place. In terms of expertise, there are currently 20 foreign athletes registered on the list to compete in this year’s tournament. The men’s team has 8 registered clubs and the women’s team has 7 registered teams using foreign athletes. This year’s Volleyball League promises many changes in terms of competition expertise.” The representative of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation affirmed: Regarding arbitration, in recent years, the arbitration work is basically done well, however, the application of technology will create fairness and objectivity. Accordingly, the national championship volleyball team of the German Jiang Chemical Cup 2024 will apply Video Challenge technology, also known as VAR technology in volleyball, to the matches.
