Posted on Posted in Pure chemicals, Products

Sodium dihydrophosphate (NaH2PO4), is a compound of sodium with acid phosphate base. It is used as a laxative, and as a pH buffer solution similar to sodium phosphate.

The acidity index (pKa) is in the range of 6.8-7.20 (depending on the physical and chemical properties in determining pKa) [1]. The equivalent value of sodium chloride, or E-Value, is 0.49. It can dissolve in 4.5 parts water. Most sodium dihydrophosphate is found in colorless crystals or in the form of white powder. It does not dissolve in alcohol. It is made by reacting halides with phosphoric acid.
